FRAUKE HAVEMANN ist Regisseurin, Choreografin und Filmemacherin. ON AIR ist ihre Produktionsgemeinschaft (Film/Video/Performance), gegründet 2002 zusammen mit Eric Schefter. Zu Frauke Havemanns Arbeiten zählen Filme wie auch Live-Projekte, die sich an den Schnittstellen von Performance, Theater, Film und Installation bewegen. Ihre zahlreichen Produktionen wurden in deutschen und internationalen Veranstaltungsorten präsentiert. WEATHER HOUSE, ihr erster Spielfilm, wurde 2017 für die Narrative Competition des Slamdance Filmfestival (USA) ausgewählt und bereiste seitdem unterschiedliche Filmfestivals in den USA wie z.B. das Chicago Underground Film Festival, Cinedelphia, Filmfest Tucson und Insolito Filmfestival Peru. Die Deutschland Premiere fand 2018 auf dem Achtung Berlin – New Berlin Film Award statt. Der Film ist nun auf Amazon Prime, sooner.de und Vimeo VOD zu sehen. 2020 stellte sie den mittellangen Essayfilm THE WOMAN WHO SWALLOWED HER HOUSE fertig. Ihr zweiter Spielfilm GLEICH ZURÜCK (Be Right Back) feierte ebenfalls seine Premiere bei Slamdance 2022 (Sektion Breakouts) und Achtung Berlin 2022.
Frauke unterrichtet am Hochschulübergreifenden Zentrum Tanz und organisiert seit 2004 die AULA im Milchhof als freien Proben- und Veranstaltungsort in Berlin. Seit 2020 kuratiert sie regelmässig gemeinsam mit Peter Stamer die Reihe ‚Unter dem Pflaster‘ für den Pavillon am Milchhof, Berlin.
Frauke is a Berlin based filmmaker, theater director and choreographer. ON AIR is her production company (Film/Video/Performance), founded together with Eric Schefter in 2002. Havemann’s work includes films and live projects which explore the intersections of performance, theater, film and media art. Her numerous performance works have been shown extensively in festivals and theaters throughout Europe. Her first feature length film WEATHER HOUSE premiered at the 2017 Slamdance Film Festival as an Official Selection in the Narrative Competition and travelled throughout the film festival circuit including the Chicago Underground Film Festival, Cinedelphia, Filmfest Tucson and Insolito Film Festival Peru. In 2018 the film had its German premiere at the Achtung Berlin – New Berlin Film Award festival and is now streaming on Amazon Prime, sooner.de and Vimeo VOD. In 2020 she finished the mid-length essay film THE WOMAN WHO SWALLOWED HER HOUSE. Her second feature film GLEICH ZURÜCK (Be Right Back) premiered at Slamdance 2022 (Breakouts section) and Achtung Berlin 2022.
She also teaches at the Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin and manages the AULA, an independent rehearsal and performance space. Since 2020, she has regularly co-curated the installation and performance series „Unter dem Pflaster“ with Peter Stamer for the Pavillon am Milchhof, Berlin.
