  • Cultivating Contradictions

    AULA Schwedter Str. 232, Berlin, Germany

    Sechs Künstlerinnen unterschiedlichen Alters und mit verschiedenen Geschichten haben acht Wochen in der AULA im Milchhof recherchiert, geschrieben, getanzt und geprobt. Sabine Zahn, Christina Ciupke, Simone Gisela Weber, Leon Locher, Sefa Okutan und Rose Beermann setzen sich an diesem Abend mit ihrem Publikum an einen großen Tisch, um von ihren Arbeitsprozessen zu berichten und miteinander ins Gespräch zu kommen.
    Six artists of different ages and with different stories have spent eight weeks at the AULA in Milchhof, researching, writing, dancing, and rehearsing. On this evening, Sabine Zahn, Christina Ciupke, Simone Gisela Weber, Leon Locher, Sefa Okutan, and Rose Beermann gather around a large table with the audience to talk about their work processes and engage in a conversation.

  • YOUR PAST IS MY FUTURE

    Maren Strack weiß, wie man vergessene Symbole in neue Formen gießt. In fünf Szenen rollt sie den schwarzen Faden der Historie aus; webt alte Geschichten in neuen Stoff. Das Autorenteam Strack / Lorbeer / Lücker blickt in „YOUR PAST IS MY FUTURE“ zurück und nach vorn.
    Maren Strack knows how to cast forgotten symbols into new forms. In five scenes, she unravels the black thread of history, weaving old stories into new fabric. In “YOUR PAST IS MY FUTURE,” the three artists look both back and forward.

  • The Lost Father

    Die dokumentarische Fiktion erzählt mit grell-bunten 8mm- Amateurfilmaufnahmen eine Familiengeschichte, die sich über die USA und Deutschland bis nach Ex-Jugoslawien ausbreitet.
    Thomas Martius installiert den dreiteiligen Film in der Aula, mit durchscheinenden Projektionen auf Gaze. Zusammen mit Avataren und einer Kinotherapeutin hilft er Selma, ihren Vater zu suchen – und vielleicht sich selbst zu finden.

    Incorporating vivid, amateur 8mm film footage, the documentary fiction traces a family story that spans from the USA and Germany to the former Yugoslavia.
    Thomas Martius installs the three-part film in the „Aula“ with translucent projections on gauze fabrics. He teams up with avatars and a cinema therapist to help Selma search for her father — and perhaps find herself.

  • Groove Lab: Pipe Edition + FRAMES FRAGMENTS FREQUENCIES

    Groove Lab: Pipe Edition (Solotanz von Anton Gerzina) lotet den Spielraum aus, den eine Metallstange einem Tänzer wie auch der Tänzer der Metallstange gewährt.

    FRAMES FRAGMENTS FREQUENCIES, ein Experimental-Kurzfilm-Projekt von Wilhelm Groener ist eine Reflexion über Zeitlichkeit und Bewegung, Maskerade und Eskapismus, Licht und Dunkelheit, Abstraktion und poetische Befragung der Realität in acht Kapiteln.

    Double Event:
    Groove Lab: Pipe Edition (Solo Dance by Anton Gerzina) is an exploration with metal pipes. The performer engages with the agency he has over the pipes, as well as the agency the pipes have over him.

    FRAMES FRAGMENTS FREQUENCIES, an experimental short film project by Wilhelm Groener is a reflection on temporality and movement, masquerade and escapism, light and dark, abstraction and poetic interrogation of reality in eight chapters.

  • DINNER FOR ONE

    2015 porträtierte das Markus&Markus Theaterkollektiv für eine Inszenierung die 81-jährige Margot, die ihren eigenen Tod mit einer Schweizer Sterbehilfeorganisation plante. Das Kollektiv begleitete sie in ihren letzten Lebenswochen.
    For a stage production in 2015, the Markus&Markus Theater Collective portrayed 81-year-old Margot, who was planning her own death with a Swiss assisted suicide organization. The collective accompanied the last weeks of her life.
